| The Sev Trek Ordering FAQ
I'm often asked how one can pay for Sev Trek merchandise (particularly if you don't live in Australia) so here is a list of the ways you can and can't pay. I've also listed the percentages of each method of payment. If you have any other questions, please email me.

There are several questions I often receive about ordering Sev Trek merchandise. Here are the most common questions:
How can I buy the book in my country?
How much is it in my currency?

Online credit card order
This is the preferred method of payment, being quicker, easier and simpler. If you own a credit card or you persuade a family member to let you use theirs (this seems to happen every now and then, particularly for younger readers), you can fill out our secure online order form. We accept Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa credit cards. 84.9% of all Sev Trek orders have been online credit card to date.
Cheque/Money Order
For those without a credit card, this is the usual form of payment. The cheque or money order must be in Australian dollars so ask your bank if they can do this (and make sure you ask how much they charge before doing it). Also make sure you find out exactly how much the merchandise and postage will cost before writing the cheque. More details on the fill out form and where to post it can be found at the Cheque/Money Order Page. 7% of all orders have been by cheque or money order.
Telephone Credit Card Order
This method is used by anyone who has a credit card but is not confident about ordering over the Internet (although I can assure you we haven't had any security problems yet and 85% of our orders have been online). Call me on (07) 3266 7559 if in Australia or +61 7 3266 7559 if calling from overseas. Please make sure you call between 8.30am and 3.30pm (Australian EST). You can find out more info on phone orders on the Phone Order Page. 3.5% of all Sev Trek orders have been by phone.
Mail Credit Card Order
This is an alternative for credit card owners (usually for non-Australians who don't fancy the long distance phone call). Fill out the Mail Order Form, print it out and pop it in the post. 0.5% of all orders have been credit card mail order.
Wire Transfer
I usually don't accept Wire Transfers. The main reason if because I discovered banks will charge you an outrageous amount to transfer money in Australian funds to an Australian account (usually the bank charge is more than the cost of the merchandise). So I doubt anyone is interested in this option. However, if you are really desperate to use this method, contact me by email and I'll send you the necessary instructions.
Cash
Do *not* send cash by mail - this is not advisable at all and I don't accept cash payments by post. The only cash payments I accept are from people who happen to be in Brisbane who are willing to drop by to pay in person (4.1% of orders have been paid this way). If you live in Brisbane and want to pay in person, call me on 3266 7559 to let me know you're dropping by.
How can I buy the book in my country?
The only way you can purchase Sev Trek merchandise is off the Sev Trek web site. There aren't any stores that sell my stuff, but I deliver to any part of the world.
How much is it in my currency?
That changes from day to day depending on the exchange rate between your currency and the Australian dollar. You can find out the exact exchange rate at the Canoe Currency Calculator. Overseas orderers will be pleased to know the Australian dollar is at an all time low at the moment. Our economy is a disaster, but at least the Sev Trek merchandise will be cheaper! :-)
How much is shipping?
The shipping costs for the Sev Trek T-shirts are listed at the Money Order Page. As for other merchandise such as the upcoming book, well, I have to wait till they get delivered from the printer so I can find out exactly how much they weigh. I'll know within a week!
Which credit cards do you accept?
I only accept credit card orders using Visa, Mastercard or Bankcard. I don't accept American Express or any other cards.
How long does it take to be delivered?
It depends on whether you choose Air Mail or Surface Mail. Air Mail is a bit more expensive but will have your package delivered within 10 working days. Surface Mail is less expensive but takes 3 to 4 weeks to arrive.
