I ran the above comic strip in the Write Your Own Sev Trek Competition recently, and was surprised by the response I got. The resultant comic strip (with punchline written by Ryan Turcotte) was used in the first Sev Trek T-shirt. And not only did I get a heap of funny punchlines, I also got a number of serious theories on why the Klingon forehead has changed. I even got an entire short story explaining the mystery. I thought devoted Trek fans would be interested in reading the various ideas floating around at the moment.

Here are some of the more serious theories that people submitted. Youíd be surprised how intricate and lengthy some of the explanations are (then again, knowing how some fans get, maybe you wonít).
Foreheads That Go Bump In The Night
This is an actual story/script written by Mark G. Elwell to explain the change in the Klingons.
Here is another short story written by Chuck Coates that uses the two races theory.
The Truth about the Klingon Bumps
Here is an ORIGINAL story written by ktrean for the Dover peace conference98.
Here is a lengthy theory written by Koronis' Berkeshire based on a Klingon virus.
